In an exclusive interview with People Magazine, The Dryes open up about the deeper meaning behind the song, with journalist Tricia Despres noting the duo “sing of unanswered prayers and unconditional love on new single 'Mama's Do.’” Acknowledging their impressive trajectory, Despres adds, “The Dryes certainly seem to find themselves on the ultimate professional joy ride.”
“This is for all the mamas who show up for us day in and day out. Our mother’s love and prayers have gotten us through when we haven’t had the words ourselves,” share The Dryes. “This song represents all the memories of what motherhood has looked like from our perspective, and we are blessed to have amazing women in our corner, rooting us on in every part of our life.”
In March, The Dryes released their previous single, “Who Needs To Hear This.” Having teamed up with chart-topping songwriter Corey Crowder (“Im Comin’ Over,” “Famous Friends,” “Drinkin’ Beer. Talkin’ God. Amen,” among others), they penned this song of empowerment for those who might be in need of a reminder that, no matter the moment and level of adversity they might be facing, everything is going to be okay.

Since touching the hearts of fans across the country on Team Blake of Season 22’s NBC’s “The Voice,” The Dryes have broadened their audience, earning legions of new fans in just a year, most recently earning a spot on Wasserman Music’s roster for exclusive worldwide booking representation. Solidifying themselves as an emotionally gripping live act, they will be making their debut performance at CMA Fest this year on Saturday, June 10 at The Hard Rock Stage from 11:35 am — 12:00 pm.
