NASHVILLE, TN (July 21, 2023) — Beloved Nashville country duo, The Dryes (Katelyn and Derek) have announced their forthcoming five-track EP Raisin’ Beers & Hallelujahs, due Friday, September 22 with the release of the project’s lead single, “Sawdust,” out today. Inspired by all of the dive bars that they’ve been to around the world, The Dryes describe the track as “A greasy Texas two-step, mixed with a little bit of rock ‘n’ roll.” “That combination states the common goal… to cut loose & find a good time, no matter where you’re from!” they conclude.

Country Now exclusively unveiled the track yesterday remarking, “An anthemic single, ‘Sawdust’ serves as the ultimate boot stomper featuring a two-step style rhythm and slapping guitars.”

“We wrote ‘Sawdust’ with Michael Farren and our late friend, Kyle Jacobs,” share The Dryes. “This song is a reminder to ourselves and for our fans to never lose sight of joy, to get out there and dance, be yourself and cause your own kind of scene wherever you’re from.”

Arriving on Friday, August 11, The Dryes will share the official music video, capturing that grimy dive bar experience in a way that’s sure to conjure nostalgia of your old favorite spot while highlighting the sparkling, vivacious experience that is a live performance with The Dryes.

The single succeeds the release of Mother’s Day Tribute “Mama’s Do,” which premiered in an exclusive interview with People Magazine, where music journalist Tricia Despres acknowledged the duo’s impressive trajectory noting, “The Dryes certainly seem to find themselves on the ultimate professional joy ride.”

If there was ever a time that country music needed a duo like The Dryes, it’s now. Since premiering on Season 22 of NBC’s “The Voice,” joining Team Blake, The Dryes have already caught the attention of USA Today, Taste of Country, Entertainment Weekly, and American Songwriter, Rolling Stone, & Billboard, gaining thousands of new fans and followers since launching their career in 2018. Noted by TODAY as a “promising new duo,” the pair most recently made their CMA Fest and Carolina Country Music Festival debut in June 2023 solidifying themselves as an emotionally gripping live act.

Their ultra-powerful song “War,” has gone on to amass over 7 million + global streams alone, while their sassy and powerful single “Dolly Would” as well as their sexy, soulful single “House on Fire” both peaked at #1 on CMT’s 12 Pack Countdown. Joining forces with the powerful Wasserman Music Booking Agency for exclusive worldwide booking representation, they found their next endeavor to be the direct support on 90's chart topper Jo Dee Messina's National "Head Carolina, Tails California Tour" while also landing a partnership with Cheerwine.
