NASHVILLE, TN (August 18, 2023) — Acclaimed Nashville country duo, The Dryes (Katelyn and Derek) have shared the sophomore single “Bless Your Heart” off their forthcoming five-track EP Raisin’ Beers & Hallelujahs, due Friday, September 29. Rooted in the classic unwritten social norm passed down through the generations of the south of minding your own business, The Dryes play with the phrase “Bless Your Heart” — a saying that can be expressing true sympathy, or perhaps carry a sarcastic edge, we’ll leave it up to the listener in this case.
Succeeding the releases of “Sawdust” and the touching Mothers Day Tribute “Mama’s Do,” which premiered exclusively on Country Now & People Magazine respectively, The Dryes describe the track as “A don't-give-a-damn anthem about being yourself.” “The phrase gives that sweet southern permission to let someone else worry about themselves who might wanna judge otherwise,” they conclude.
