NASHVILLE, TN (July 24, 2024)Today, Brody Rivers — a raw and authentic red dirt troubadour — has released his latest single, “Lady.” Painting a vivid picture of longing for a woman, “Lady” is enveloped in the soulful wail of a prominent pedal steel guitar, with its notes weaving through the melody. River’s voice, steeped in raw emotion, echoes the depth of his yearning, accompanied by lyrics enriched with desire. The soundscape created by the pedal steel guitar amplifies the sense of desolation, perfectly complementing River’s poignant delivery, making every note resonate with the listener’s own experiences of longing and loss.

Speaking on the new track, Brody shares, “I wrote this song four years ago, and it’s one of those that came to be within like 15 minutes. It was a flow of consciousness while finding something a little different for me musically.”

Fresh off his recent rodeo with the American Idol stage this year and opening for acts like Randall King and Moe Pitney, his signature rich vocals tug on listeners’ heartstrings. In a musical landscape where conformity often reigns supreme, Rivers’ sound stands as a beacon of individuality, a testament to the power of authenticity in an industry often plagued by imitation. Born and raised amidst the sun-scorched plains of South Texas, Rivers’ journey began amidst the whispering winds of the Rio Grande Valley where life can be analyzed by a series of decisions one makes; good or bad.

The previous single from Rivers, “Back to You,” pulled from those exact forks in the road that we all come to in life.“‘With ‘Back to You’ I was figuring out how to do life again after leaving home, leaving family and closing off friendships,” Rivers shares. “But more importantly, seeing if the people I left still had room for me back home.” In this vulnerable track, Rivers lays bare his soul, expressing the longing to return to the embrace of loved ones. “It’s mostly directed to my mom. Back to her is being back home; feeling loved and carefree like a child again,” he reveals. Brody Rivers’ lyrics have a way of resonating with anyone who has felt the tug of nostalgia and the ache of distance. Missing everything he left behind for a dream he couldn’t achieve alone, Rivers pours his heart into every note, crafting a song that speaks to the universal yearning for belonging and connection.

Drawing a mix of inspiration from the legendary George Strait and modern acts such as Luke Combs and Cody Johnson, Rivers infuses his music with energetic and heartfelt honesty. “Something I now live by is never doing something half-assed, and always being consistent,” declares the South Texas-based Rivers.

As the echoes of his music reverberate across the heartland, one thing becomes abundantly clear: Brody Rivers is not just a country artist, he’s an embodiment of the very spirit of the American South. Ahead of his run on ABC’s American Idol in 2024, Rivers released his five-song debut EP, Stepping Stones, and earned early charting success with his songs “Calm Me Down” and “Buying my Way to Debt” on the Texas Country Music Charts and Texas Regional Radio Report

Country music is ingrained in Brody Rivers’ soul, mind, and heart. Already having shared stages with acts such as Randall King, Moe Pitney and Huser Brother Band, Rivers’ journey is just beginning.
