With the project’s release, she also delivers the official music video for the album’s standout track, “16 Miles” — directed and filmed by 15-time Emmy Award-winning video production company FireRock Productions. Written during a lonely tour stop on a ranch surrounded by 16 miles of nothing, she refers to the track as a “musician’s prayer,” and uses the metaphor of her surroundings to tell a story of holding on to faith in music even at the loneliest moments. “Sometimes, all you see is nothing — no light at the end of the tunnel, no other road,” Jessica admits. “But if you keep moving forward, you’ll find a way.”

Jessica Lynn is not just a “powerhouse vocalist,” as Taste of Country described, but also a captivating songwriter with a magnetic, arena-ready stage presence. This combination has propelled her into a seasoned touring artist, performing her songs for audiences worldwide. Dubbed “country arena rock” by American Songwriter, Jessica is determined to break genre boundaries and create her own unique space in the industry. Just as her career was gaining momentum, she faced a life-altering challenge that nearly cost her everything.
After a routine sinus surgery spiraled into a fight with postoperative complications and muscle tension dysphonia (MTD) that jeopardized her voice and career, All I Own emerges as a powerful reflection of Jessica’s strength and determination. Forced to record in short 10-minute intense bursts of vocal effort, Jessica channeled her struggles into the album, each note carrying the weight of her recovery journey. “I hid what I was going through from everyone because I was afraid we would lose tour dates, opportunities, and I didn’t really want to admit it was real,” Jessica admitted. “I started singing as soon as I could talk and I started my first band when I was 13. Music is all I’ve ever known and the thought of potentially never being able to sing normally again was a feeling I couldn’t quite put into words.”
She seamlessly wove double meanings into each track, inviting listeners to find their own stories within hers. Jessica has taken all of her blessings and hardships with grace, pouring her soul into every avenue she explores. This latest display of that can be heard on the 10-track record as she fought through her vocal injury — not even skipping a beat to ensure her music gets to be heard.
On October 16, Jessica released “Something ‘Bout You,” the sixth and final single from the album — a heartwarming tribute to falling in love with her husband. Jessica shares, “‘Something ‘Bout You’ is a feel-good story about falling in love and having the most amazing adventures together. There is something nostalgic about the song and I hope it brings everyone listening back to a really special time in their lives.”

Despite her New York roots, Jessica’s deep connection to country music shines through her emotional storytelling and intricate lyrics. Her passion for blending music and philanthropy began early, with performances at children’s hospitals and nursing homes. Jessica’s career took off with PBS concert specials and international tours, sharing stages with icons like Brad Paisley, Keith Urban, and Loretta Lynn. Known for her powerful vocals and multi-instrumental talents, she has earned global recognition and a loyal fan base.
In 2020, Jessica’s philanthropic efforts led to a role with the U.S. Department of State’s American Voices program. As a consultant and member of American Music Abroad, she traveled worldwide as a cultural ambassador. She also created and taught the course “Tips & Tricks for The Independent Musician,” helping young artists globally access opportunities in the industry. She recently returned from Asia and is set to teach in Nigeria next.
Besides her educational outreach, she has continued using her vocal chops to support organizations like Armed Forces Entertainment and Toys for Tots, the latter of which she partners with for her annual Christmas tour: “A Very Merry Classic Christmas.” The show features the talents of local musicians and dancers of the cities she stops in, truly living and breathing her philosophy of providing chances for all young musicians and artists. On November 22, she released a 4-song live EP of tracks from the show, with all proceeds from the project going to further support Toys for Tots. Jessica continues to create music that uplifts and connects, her unwavering determination reflected in every song. From overcoming vocal challenges to crafting an album that captures the highs and lows of her journey, All I Own is more than just music — it’s a testament to giving everything to your passion, no matter the cost.
