NASHVILLE, TN (October 25, 2023)Today, country artist Wyatt Putman releases “Spinnin’ Around All Night”  — the third single from his forthcoming debut albumMy Kinda Country, due Friday, March 1, 2024. A departure from the usual upbeat tracks on the album, this romantic ballad will have listeners falling in love on these chilly autumn nights. With a classic country guitar sound, accompanying the story of love at first sight and a surreal night of dancing, Wyatt’s old-school twang will be echoing on dance floors.

“I think the coolest part about ‘Spinnin’ Around All Night’ is the fact that I wrote it when I was 17 years old,” Wyatt shares. “I’m glad I finally recorded it because it’s hands down the most traditional sounding country song I’ve ever cut, and it really showcases another side of my voice. I hope lots of folks fall in love on a dance floor to this one!”

Back Road Country Music,” the sophomore track featuring Frank Foster (released on Sept. 6) captures the essence of the rural countryside, taking listeners on a nostalgic journey through back roads and small-town vibes. With Wyatt’s soulful vocals and Foster’s powerful presence, the collaboration is nothing short of magical. Accompanied by a no-frills music video — which was exclusively revealed by Country Evolution — the two showcase their love of all things country while sitting on the back of a pickup truck and bonding over their southern roots.

“Back Road Country Music” followed the lead single and video, “Outlaw Shit” (released May 12). The song embodies a classic 80’s and 90’s country sound, which is finding a resurgence in the industry. Wyatt is excited to be a part of this movement as he joins the select few artists who are embracing this style. “It’s only a matter of time ‘til that old-school country music comes back around,” Wyatt remarks, “and I’m here to join the club.” With scenes any homegrown southerner would recognize — a wide open sky over a field, a pickup truck cruisin’ through country roads, and a porch just big enough to hold a swing — the music video calls upon the nostalgia of the track through the eyes of a younger generation.

As Wyatt likes to put it, he writes “music that takes you from the asphalt to the gravel.” My Kinda Country finds Wyatt exactly where he wants to be — making a statement with dirt road country anthems straight from the backwoods of Spring Hill, AR. As Wyatt notes: “Spring Hill has influenced me to be the best I can possibly be no matter what it is I’m doing. I’ve learned that if you’re going to do it, give it all you’ve got. The same goes for Friday nights with a band behind me and a guitar in my hand.”

Looking back at his journey, Wyatt reflects on how the process of creating music has changed for him. When he recorded his six-track EP, Outlaw Reputation (2018), he relied heavily on his producer and the other musicians in the studio to bring his vision to life. However, with My Kinda Country, Wyatt took full control of his artistry. This forthcoming project marks a significant milestone in Wyatt’s musical career, showcasing his growth as an artist and his evolution as a creator.

With My Kinda Country, Wyatt concludes “it’s not just music, it’s a way of life. Music made for the backwoods, blue-collar, dirt road kids that are proud to be from wherever they’re from! It’s also the beginning of a new chapter for me, and I invite everyone to jump on the train. I want this album to make people feel good when they listen to it, and I hope they can come back to this album 15 years from now and say ‘damn what a record’.”
